Communicator of Achievement (COA) is the highest honor NDPC can bestow upon a member. The award is presented annually to a communicator who has distinguished themself within the profession and through service beyond it.

NDPC’s 2026 COA honoree will advance to the NFPW's national competition, where candidates are judged on:

• Professional achievement

• Community service

• Service to NFPW and NDPC

Nominations do not need to be lengthy or highly detailed but should be clear, persuasive, and address the award criteria outlined above.

Nominations are due by 5:00 p.m. CST on March 1, 2026. They should be submitted to Amanda Kosior.

Note that nominees must be NFPW members. If you are unsure whether your nominee holds national membership, you may:
