NDPC 2020 Communications Contest Winners

North Dakota Professional Communicators announces the winners of the 2020 NDPC Communications Contest. Twenty-six NDPC members earned 160 awards for their work in writing, editing, photography, graphics and design, advertising, web and social media, communication programs and campaigns, public relations, information for the media and speeches.

First-place entries in all categories advanced to the national competition, the National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest. Winners in that competition will be announced at a later date.

Tracy Frank, Fargo, N.D., won first place in the sweepstakes competition. Alexandra Floersch, Fargo, N.D., took second; and Kris Hauge, Fargo, N.D., third. Sweepstakes winners are determined by a weighted point system based on place (first, second, third or honorable mention) and the number of entries in each category. The more entries in a category, the higher number of points awarded to those placing in the category.  

Danielle Teigen, Deputy Editor at Forum Communications, Fargo, has been selected as the 2020 Communicator of Achievement by the North Dakota Professional Communicators. This award is bestowed annually to a member who has distinguished themselves beyond their profession. 
 
NDPC is the state affiliate of NFPW, an organization of communication professionals from across the U.S. NDPC is an organization of women and men employed in all aspects of communication: newspapers, public relations, education, magazines, television, radio, publishing, advertising, photography and freelance.
