2006 Communications Contest Winners
Media professional from across North Dakota and Minnesota were honored at the 2006 North Dakota Professional Communicators awards luncheon Saturday, May 6, in Bismarck, N.D.
Martin Fredricks of West Fargo, N.D., won first place in the sweepstakes competition, capturing top honors in 12 categories. He is owner of Fredricks Communications, a company which helps businesses and organizations effectively, brand, advertise and market themselves.
Linda Sailer, Dickinson, N.D., placed second in the sweepstakes competition. She is lifestyle editor for the Dickinson Press.
Richard Volesky, Belfield, N.D., finished third in the sweepstakes competition. He is assistant editor for the Billings County Pioneer for Belfield and Medora, N.D.
Thirty professionals received awards through the contest sponsored by NDPC, the state affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women. Seventy-one first-place entries will advance to the federation’s national competition this fall.
