Communicator of Achievement is NDPC’s top honor
Communicator of Achievement is the highest honor NDPC can bestow upon one of its members. The COA award is presented annually to a member of NDPC and the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) who has distinguished him or herself within and beyond his or her profession.
NDPC’s honoree advances to the national NFPW competition, where COA judging is based on professional achievement, community service, and service to NFPW and NDPC.
NDPC’s 2016 COA was recognized at the state NDPC conference this past spring, and the national NFPW conference Sept. 8–10, 2016, in Wichita, Kansas.
Nominations for the 2017 COA were due Monday, Feb. 27 and should be sent to 2016 COA Pam Gibb.
Nominations need not be lengthy or detailed, but should be persuasive and address award criteria. Nominees must be NFPW members. If you are not certain your nominee is an national member, you can ask Carrie Carney, First Vice President, Membership, or the individual you plan to nominate.
